Up n runnin!

Hello one and all.. well as of this eve the new look website is now live so please do check it out.. its a tad leaner with all the bells and whistles removed and just focuses on current and recent work rather than the all encompassing sites that have come before!... www.seancounley.com

The workshops in Brierley Hill were a success with every seat taken.. this has led to potential for two in-depth courses to hopefully begin running in September - one digital and one traditional - pending funding so I can keep you up to date on how that progresses.

So whats coming up this week.. well the titanic mural project begins again after a weeks break and hopefully I will get some photographs up on here to document progress after this weeks session.  Also after a break for the Bank Holiday the life drawing sessions that I run with my best friend miss Natalie Gore will be returning.. if you want to check out more about this then click this little link here.. I am thinking of putting intermittently my best sketches from each weeks session on here too so that you can actually start seeing some work :D.

So now that we are talking work, here is my latest creation for Imagine FX May Challenge titled 'A Land Far, Far Away'.  I thouroughly enjoyed working on this idea that seemed to come together well although there were some serious revisions at one stage!  The premise of the backstory revolves around settlers or pilgrims who have made a long and weary journey across a world lashed by storms and heavy rain. Finally to arrive at their destination, guided by the massive beams of light that show the way to refuge. If you want to follow the progress of this piece and the other entrants then check out ImageFX forum here.

Well until next time..
